Turn your world into a skatepark by learning how to design a finger skateboard! Learn the process of designing skateboards from start to finish through this hands on camp. Explore designing for concrete, wood, and metal, partnered with digital fabrication like 3D printing, and CNC cutting! Build a new tiny skateboard each day, and contribute to the collaborative skatepark that will eventually reside next to the Old 4th Ward Skatepark off of the Beltline! Come one or all three days for a different experience!
Here’s what we’ll be doing each day of the camp:
Day 1: 3D Design, 3D Printing, mold making
Day 2: Graphic design, vector drawing, and CNC cutting
Day 3: Woodworking, Skatepark design, concrete construction
Registration includes a complete wooden fingerboard and admission to our current exhibition. This 3-day vacation week camp is great for ages 8-14.
Space is limited, so reserve your spot now! Campers can register for all three days ($210 non-members, $190 for MODA members) or opt instead to come on just Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday ($75 non-members, $70 members).
Cancellation policy: If you must cancel your plans, please notify us at least 7 days prior to the event start to receive a refund of the ticket cost minus a $10 processing fee per series. Refunds are not available if we are notified less than 7 days prior to the event start. Refunds are not available if you fail to notify us or attend the event.
